Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026 · Version 1.0
This policy explains how SolidRock Home Care Ltd ("SolidRock", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data — including the special category health data at the heart of what we do — in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Irish data protection law.
1. Who we are
SolidRock Home Care Ltd is a private limited company providing technology-enabled home care services in Dublin South (CHO 7), Ireland. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
2. What data we collect
- Enquiry & contact data: name, phone number, email, and details you share via our contact form, callback requests, or AI Care Assistant.
- Care recipient data: where you become a client, we collect information necessary to deliver safe care — including special category health data (medical history, medication, mobility, cognitive status) collected during your free assessment and ongoing care.
- Family Portal data: visit notes, care updates, and wellbeing snapshots shared with consented family members.
- Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) data: where opted into, readings such as blood pressure, pulse, and mobility trends, reviewed by our clinical team.
- Website usage data: pages visited and general analytics, only where you've consented to analytics cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
- Recruitment data: CVs and application details, if you apply to work with us.
3. Our lawful basis for processing
- Consent — for marketing communications, non-essential cookies, and RPM enrolment.
- Contract — to deliver the care services you or your family engage us for.
- Vital interests — in a genuine emergency, to protect someone's life or immediate safety.
- Legal obligation — for employment law, safeguarding, and regulatory record-keeping requirements.
4. How we use your data
We use personal data to: assess care needs and deliver care safely; keep consented family members informed via the Family Portal; support clinical decision-making (including AI-assisted RPM review, always checked by a registered nurse); meet our legal, safeguarding, and regulatory obligations; and, only with consent, send occasional newsletters or marketing updates.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share data only where necessary with: our own vetted staff on a need-to-know basis; the HSE or your GP/PHN where relevant to your care or a safeguarding concern; and trusted IT and software providers acting as data processors under contract (for example, hosting or the Family Portal platform), who are contractually bound to protect your data and use it only as we instruct.
6. How long we keep data
We retain care records for the period required by Irish healthcare record-keeping guidance and applicable regulation, and enquiry data that doesn't convert to a client relationship for a limited period before secure deletion. Exact retention schedules are set out in our internal data retention policy, available on request.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; request erasure in certain circumstances; restrict or object to certain processing; receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) if you believe your data has been mishandled.
8. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — including access controls, encryption in transit, and staff training — to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
9. Cookies
Our website uses cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. Non-essential cookies are only set with your consent.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
